Introduction to the Longmen Frame Operation Platform

1、 Core structure composition

1. Door type support frame
   The core load-bearing structure is usually composed of two vertical columns (made of steel or seamless steel pipes) and transverse connecting beams at the top/bottom, forming a“ Longmen” Shape.    The carrying area for staff or materials is usually a rectangular steel structure platform equipped with:
   • Protective railing (height 1.2 meters to prevent personnel from falling);
   • Anti slip flooring (mostly made of patterned steel plates to prevent slipping during work);
   • Safety door (platform access channel, can only start lifting after being closed to prevent air leakage or personnel misoperation);
   • Operation panel (button type control, including“ Rise/Fall/Emergency Stop; Key, some devices support dual control of ground and platform.
4. guiding device
   Ensure that the platform rises and falls vertically along the columns to avoid displacement. Common ones include; Roller guidance” (Install rollers on both sides of the platform to slide against the inside of the column) and“ Guide rail guidance; The inner side of the column is equipped with a guide rail, and the platform moves through the embedded guide rail with a slider. The latter has stronger stability.
5. Security protection system

   • Fall prevention device (safety lock): If the steel wire rope breaks or the hydraulic system malfunctions, the safety lock will instantly clamp the column or guide rail, preventing the platform from falling;
   • Overload protection: When the platform load exceeds the rated value, the equipment automatically stops running to avoid structural overload deformation;
   • Buffer device: A spring or rubber buffer pad is installed at the bottom of the platform to reduce impact in case of accidental falling.
6. power system
   To provide power for lifting, small equipment often uses 220V/380V electric motors (with reducers), and diesel generators (winch type) can be configured for outdoor scenarios without power supply.

2、 Working principle

1. Start preparationAfter the operator checks the equipment for any malfunctions, the materials or personnel are sent to the operating platform, the safety door is closed, and the limit switch and safety lock are confirmed to be in normal condition;
2. Lift drivePress the operation panel“ Rising” Key, the motor starts and drives the winch to rotate, and the winch wraps around the steel wire rope (one end of the steel wire rope is fixed to the winch drum, and the other end is connected to the top of the platform), pulling the platform to move upward along the column guide device;
3. Stable controlDuring the lifting process, the guiding device ensures that the platform does not shift. If you need to pause, press“ Stop” Press the key to lock the position;
4. safety protectionIf overload, overtravel or wire rope breakage occurs, the corresponding protective device will be immediately triggered (such as overload protection power-off, safety lock clamping column) to avoid accidents;
5. Lowering operationPress“ Decrease” Key, the winch rotates in reverse, slowly releases the steel wire rope, and the platform descends smoothly under its own gravity and winch control until it touches the bottom or the designated position.

4、 Operation points and safety regulations

（1） Pre operation check (mandatory steps)

1. Structural inspection: check whether the door frame is deformed, whether the connecting bolt is loose, whether the column is bent, and whether the diagonal brace is complete;
2. Power and transmission inspection: Check whether the motor, winch (or hydraulic pump station) are operating normally, whether the wire rope is broken or worn (if the number of broken wires exceeds 10%, it needs to be replaced), and whether the hydraulic oil level meets the standard;
3. Safety device inspection: Test the limit switch (whether the power is cut off when rising/falling to the limit position), safety lock (manually pull the wire rope to observe if it can be stuck), overload protection (load 110% of the rated load to see if it stops running);
4. Environmental inspection: Confirm that the ground of the work site is level (slope≤ 3°); ）No standing water, no obstacles in the surrounding area (such as power lines and trees), outdoor operation wind speed of level 6 (avoid shaking).

（2） Operating standards

1. Load control: Strictly operate according to the rated load (usually 0.5-5 tons), and overloading is prohibited; The materials should be evenly placed in the center of the platform to avoid tilting the platform due to one-sided bias;
2. Personnel requirements: Operators must undergo training, be familiar with the equipment operation process, and are prohibited from operating without a license; Two people are required to work on the platform, and they must wear safety helmets and fasten their safety belts (which are fixed on the platform's protective railing);
3. Operation sequence: Close the platform safety door first, and then start the lifting process; During the lifting process, it is prohibited to reach out or probe outside the platform, and jumping or shaking on the platform is also prohibited;
4. Emergency response: In case of equipment malfunction (such as sudden stop or abnormal noise), immediately press the“ Emergency stop” Key, personnel must not climb out of the platform without authorization, and must contact maintenance personnel through ground personnel for handling; If there is a risk of falling, remain calm and wait for the safety lock to take effect before seeking help.

（3） Daily maintenance

1. Regular lubrication: Apply lubricating oil to the bearings, guide rollers, and wire ropes of the winch every month to reduce wear and tear;
2. Component replacement: Check the steel wire rope every 6 months, replace the hydraulic oil every 1 year, calibrate the limit switch and safety lock every 3 months;
3. Storage and maintenance: When not in use for a long time, the platform should be lowered to its original position, the power should be turned off, and the metal parts should be coated with anti rust paint. Store in a dry and ventilated place to avoid rain and rust.
