structural composition
- Scissor armThis is a significant structural feature of the hydraulic elevator, which is composed of multiple sets of intersecting arm rods connected by hinge points, resembling scissors opening or closing. During the lifting process, the platform height is changed by the extension and contraction of the arm rods.
- hydraulic systemThe core components include hydraulic pumps, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic valves, and oil tanks. The hydraulic pump converts the mechanical energy of the electric motor into hydraulic energy, drives the piston movement of the hydraulic cylinder, and then drives the lifting and lowering of the scissor arm; Hydraulic valves are used to control the flow direction, pressure, and flow rate of hydraulic oil to achieve lift control.
- platformUsed for carrying goods or personnel, the surface is usually equipped with anti slip treatment, and guardrails are installed around to ensure safety during operation.
- baseTo provide stable support for the entire device, some bases are equipped with moving wheels for easy movement in different work locations, while others are fixedly installed in specific positions.
working principle
The working principle of hydraulic elevators is based on Pascal's law. When the electric motor drives the hydraulic pump to operate, the hydraulic pump draws hydraulic oil from the oil tank and pressurizes it before delivering it to the hydraulic cylinder. High pressure hydraulic oil pushes the piston inside the hydraulic cylinder, and the piston drives the scissor arm to expand through the connecting rod mechanism, thereby raising the platform. When descending, by operating the hydraulic valve, the hydraulic oil in the hydraulic cylinder flows back to the oil tank. Under the weight of the platform and cargo, the scissor arm gradually contracts and the platform descends. By adjusting the hydraulic valve, the flow rate of hydraulic oil can be controlled, thereby controlling the lifting speed of the platform.
Application scenarios
- industrial productionIn the factory workshop, it is used for the loading and unloading of components, installation and commissioning of equipment, maintenance of high-altitude equipment, etc., making it convenient for workers to operate at different heights.
- logistics warehousingRealize the transportation of goods between shelves at different heights, improve the utilization of storage space, reduce the labor intensity of workers, and enhance the efficiency of goods transportation.
- auto repairIt can lift the car to a certain height, making it convenient for maintenance personnel to inspect, repair, and maintain the vehicle chassis.
- Building DecorationDuring the indoor decoration process, it is used to transport decoration materials and personnel to work positions at different heights, complete wall decoration, ceiling and suspended ceiling work, etc.
advantage
- high stabilityThe scissor type structure ensures even force distribution during the lifting process of the platform, maintaining good stability and relatively strong load-bearing capacity, capable of withstanding heavy cargo.
- Good safetyUsually equipped with various safety devices, such as hydraulic locks (to prevent hydraulic system failures from causing the platform to suddenly descend), limit switches (to prevent the platform from exceeding its limit position), anti-skid platforms, and guardrails, to ensure operational safety.
- Easy to operateThrough simple buttons or joysticks, operators can become proficient in operation after a short period of training, reducing the threshold for operation.
- High space utilization rateWhen not in use, the scissor arm can be fully retracted, occupying less space and facilitating storage and transportation.
limitation
- Restricted lifting heightCompared to some articulated or straight arm high-altitude work equipment, the lifting height of scissor hydraulic elevators is generally relatively low and is usually suitable for lifting operations at medium to low heights.
- Limited mobility flexibilityAlthough some hydraulic elevators are equipped with moving wheels, it is difficult to move on uneven ground and the moving speed is slow, which is not suitable for scenarios that require frequent changes in work locations.
- maintenance costThe hydraulic system requires regular replacement of hydraulic oil, cleaning of filters, etc., and maintenance and repair of hydraulic components also require personnel, resulting in relatively high maintenance costs.
